Reasons for inaccurate measurement of vortex flowmeter (part 2)

1. The transmitter of the vortex flowmeter stops the abnormal whistling sound:

(1) The flow rate is too high, causing the generator or detection element to vibrate;

(2) Cavitation occurs in the pipeline;

(3) The generating body or detecting element is loose.

Solution: In order to avoid damage to the generating body or detection components, the valve should be adjusted first to reduce the flow rate and the flow rate, and then further investigate the cause.

 

2. Problems in selection. Some vortex sensors have a larger selection due to changes in process conditions after the selection of the caliber or after the design and selection. The actual selection should choose the smallest caliber possible to improve measurement accuracy. For example, a vortex pipeline is designed to be used by several equipment, because some equipment in the process is sometimes not used, resulting in a decrease in the current actual use flow. Actual use causes the original design to select a larger diameter, which is equivalent to an increase in the measurable flow The lower limit is not guaranteed when the process pipeline has a small flow rate, and it can be used when the flow rate is large, because it is sometimes too difficult to rebuild. Changes in process conditions are only temporary.

Solution: It can be combined with the re-tuning of the parameters to improve the accuracy of the indication.

3. Reasons for vortex electromagnetic flowmeter parameter setting direction. Due to parameter errors, the indicator indication is wrong. The parameter error makes the calculation of the full scale frequency of the secondary meter wrong. The same full-scale frequency makes the indication inaccurate for a long time, and the actual full-scale frequency is too large. The calculated full-scale frequency makes the indication fluctuate in a wide range and cannot be read. The inconsistency of the parameters in the data affects the final determination of the parameters.

Solution: Finally, the parameters were determined by re-calibration combined with mutual comparison, and this problem was solved.

 

4. The secondary instrument fails. There are many faults in this part, including: there is a disconnection on the circuit board of the instrument, the display of individual digits in the range setting is broken, and the display of individual digits in the K coefficient setting is broken, making it impossible to determine the range setting and K coefficient setting.

Solution: The problem is solved by fixing the corresponding fault.


 

5. The four-way line connection problem. On the surface of some circuits, the circuit connection is very good. Check carefully. Some joints are actually loose and the circuit is interrupted. Although some joints are tightly connected, the fastening screws are fastened to the wire skin due to the secondary line problem, which also makes the circuit Interrupted.

6. There is always no indication in the circuit due to the failure of the secondary instrument flat shaft cable. Due to long-term operation, coupled with the impact of dust, the flat axis cable failure.

Solution: The problem can be solved by cleaning or replacing the flat shaft wire.

 

7. Use environmental issues. Especially the part of the sensor installed in the ground well, due to the high humidity in the environment, causes the circuit board to get damp.

Solution: Through corresponding technical improvement measures, some sensors with high environmental humidity were re-processed to separate the probe part from the conversion part, and a separate sensor was used, so the working environment was improved. This part of the instrument is running well recently.

 

8. Due to poor site adjustment, or due to further changes in the actual situation after adjustment. Due to the on-site vibration and noise balance adjustment and sensitivity adjustment is not good. Or due to further changes in the site conditions after a period of operation after adjustment, causing indication problems.

Solution: Use an oscilloscope, and re-adjust according to the process operation.
